House: Short Experimental Film
House is a short experimental film about Laurieston Hall; a commune in SW Scotland. The film cuts between 1970’s and present day footage relating to the house and explores the texture of nostalgia.
The old 70’s footage was filmed on a standard eight camera which had no capacity to record sound. It was fun re-creating the sounds especially the helicopter sound which i created by recording a load of DIY tools to an old four track tape recorder and speeding it up.
